Classic Frozen Margarita Recipe Easy Fresh Lime Drink for Busy Weeknights

  • Author: SALY
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A quick and refreshing frozen margarita with fresh lime juice, perfect for busy weeknights. This classic recipe balances tart, sweet, and boozy flavors with a smooth, icy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) Tequila Blanco
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) Fresh Lime Juice (about 1 lime)
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) Triple Sec or Orange Liqueur
  • ½ ounce (15 ml) Simple Syrup
  • 2 cups (about 300 g) Ice
  • Coarse Salt (for rimming glass, optional)
  • Lime Wedges (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass to moisten it. Pour some coarse salt onto a small plate, then dip the rim into the salt, twisting gently to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.
  2. Cut one fresh lime in half and use your juicer to extract about 1 ounce (30 ml) of juice.
  3. In your blender, combine 2 ounces (60 ml) tequila blanco, 1 ounce (30 ml) fresh lime juice, 1 ounce (30 ml) triple sec, ½ ounce (15 ml) simple syrup, and 2 cups (about 300 g) of ice.
  4. Blend on high for about 30-45 seconds until the mixture is smooth and slushy. If it’s too thick, add a splash of water or more lime juice and pulse again.
  5. Pour the frozen margarita into your prepared glass. Garnish with a wedge of lime on the rim. Optionally, add a tiny pinch of salt on top to enhance the flavors.
  6. Enjoy immediately while cold and frothy.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for best flavor. Do not blend too long to avoid watery texture. Salt rim is optional but recommended. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup or agave nectar. Pre-chill glasses for colder drinks. Blend in batches for multiple servings.
