Creamy Green Detox Smoothie: 5-Minute Morning Energy

  • Author: SALY
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A thick, velvety green smoothie that tastes like a tropical dessert. Packed with spinach, kale, avocado, and frozen mango, this recipe provides steady energy without the coffee crash and is ready in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (60g)
  • 1 cup fresh kale, stems removed (30g)
  • 1/2 medium ripe avocado (75g)
  • 1/2 cup cooked cauliflower, frozen or fresh (60g)
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks (150g)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened apple juice or orange juice (180ml)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (10g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (1g)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (5ml)
  • 1/2 cup ice (optional, if fruit is not frozen)
  • Optional: 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder (30g)
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon spirulina
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Wash spinach and kale thoroughly. Remove tough kale stems and chop leaves into rough pieces.
  2. Add liquid (apple juice), avocado, chia seeds, and lemon juice to the blender first to create a vortex.
  3. Add spinach, kale, frozen mango, cauliflower, and protein powder (if using) on top.
  4. Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth with no green flecks.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more fruit, honey, water, or ice as needed.
  6. Pour into a glass and serve immediately for best texture and nutrient retention.

Notes

Use frozen fruit for a thicker, colder texture without watering it down with ice. Always remove kale stems to avoid bitterness and blender damage. If your blender is weak, chop kale into smaller pieces before blending. Store leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours, shaking well before drinking.
