Description
A cozy and refreshing cold brew coffee drink with maple syrup, cinnamon, and a rich homemade vanilla cream foam, perfect for fall mornings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) pure maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon (1 g) ground cinnamon
- ⅓ cup (80 ml) heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) cold water
- Ice cubes as needed
- Optional: pinch of nutmeg
- Optional: plant-based cream (oat or coconut) for vegan version
Instructions
- Prepare the vanilla cream foam: In a glass jar or small bowl, combine heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cold water, and ground cinnamon. Add a pinch of nutmeg if desired.
- Whisk vigorously by hand, use a hand frother, or seal the jar and shake vigorously for 30-45 seconds until the mixture thickens slightly and becomes airy but still pourable.
- Fill a glass or tumbler with ice cubes.
- Pour in the cold brew coffee, then drizzle in the maple syrup. Stir gently to combine.
- Use a spoon to layer the vanilla cream foam on top of the cold brew, creating a two-tone effect.
- Optionally, sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top.
- Enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use quality cold brew coffee for best flavor. Do not over-whip the cream to avoid turning it into whipped cream. Keep all ingredients cold for better foam. Maple syrup should be pure for authentic taste. The foam is best fresh but can be made a few hours ahead and kept chilled. Vegan versions can use plant-based cream.
