Description
A rich, caffeinated, and cozy autumn cocktail featuring vanilla vodka, strong brewed coffee, real maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt, finished with a cinnamon sugar rim.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ounces vanilla vodka
- 1 ounce strong brewed coffee (espresso or cold brew, cooled)
- 0.5 ounce real maple syrup (Grade B or dark amber)
- A pinch of sea salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Ice
- Lemon or orange wedge (for rimming)
- 3 coffee beans (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Brew a shot of espresso or strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature.
- Mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon on a flat plate.
- Run a lemon wedge around the rim of a martini glass and dip it into the cinnamon sugar mixture to create a rim.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add the vanilla vodka, cooled coffee, maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt to the shaker.
- Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with three coffee beans on top of the foam.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Use real maple syrup, not pancake syrup, for authentic flavor. Shake vigorously to create the signature frothy head. Serve immediately as the foam dissipates quickly. For a batch, pre-mix vodka, coffee, and syrup in the fridge for up to a week, but shake with ice and rim glasses just before serving.
