Description
These Football Game Day Pull Apart Pizza Sliders are an easy, crowd-pleasing appetizer made with Hawaiian sweet rolls, pizza sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni, all topped with a savory garlic butter glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (12-24 count) Hawaiian Sweet Rolls or Slider Buns
- 2 cups Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 package Pepperoni Slices
- 1 cup Pizza Sauce
- 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Dried Parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the slider rolls in the baking dish in a single layer, cut-side up, ensuring they are snug and touching.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce evenly over the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by pepperoni and other desired toppings.
- Top with a light sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in garlic powder, dried parsley, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the top of the bread, getting into the crevices.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are golden brown.
- Let the sliders cool for 5 minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set.
Notes
For best results, use block cheese and grate it yourself to ensure smooth melting. Keep the pizza sauce thin to prevent soggy bread. These can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated before baking. If using fresh garlic, mince it finely to prevent burning.
