Description
A simple, refreshing, and easy-to-make frozen strawberry lemonade slushie perfect for hot summer days. Made with frozen strawberries, lemonade, ice, and optional sugar, this icy drink is customizable and kid-approved.
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen strawberries (about 300g)
- 1 cup lemonade (240ml)
- 1 cup ice cubes (about 150g)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, about 25g)
- 1/4 cup water (optional, 60ml)
- Optional add-ins: fresh mint leaves, sparkling water, lemon zest
Instructions
- Gather and measure 2 cups frozen strawberries, 1 cup lemonade, and 1 cup ice cubes. Prepare sugar and any optional ingredients if using.
- Place frozen strawberries and ice cubes in the blender. Pulse a few times to roughly crush the ice and fruit.
- Add lemonade and sugar (if using) to the blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and fluffy.
- If the slushie is too thick, add about 1/4 cup water and blend again.
- Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar or honey if desired. Blend briefly to combine.
- Pour into chilled glasses or mason jars. Garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use frozen strawberries for best icy texture. Pulse ice and fruit first to avoid watery slush. Adjust sweetness last after tasting. Chill glasses before serving for extra refreshment. For fizz, stir in sparkling water after blending. Store leftovers in airtight container in fridge up to 2 hours and re-blend before serving. Do not freeze blended slushie.
