Garlic Infused Raw Honey

  • Author: SALY
  • Total Time: 3 to 7 days (infusion time)
  • Yield: 1 jar (approx. 1 cup) 1x

Description

A simple, budget-friendly immune booster made by infusing raw honey with fresh garlic. This natural remedy helps fight seasonal sniffles and costs only a few dollars to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240g) raw, unfiltered honey
  • 1 whole bulb of fresh garlic (approx. 612 cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the garlic by breaking the bulb into cloves and peeling off the papery skin. Slice the cloves in half lengthwise to help release flavor, or leave them whole.
  2. Sterilize a clean, dry glass jar (8-12 oz) with hot soapy water and let it air dry completely to prevent mold.
  3. Place the peeled and sliced garlic cloves into the dry jar. Add dried herbs if using.
  4. Pour the raw honey over the garlic, ensuring all cloves are fully submerged. Tap the jar gently to release air bubbles.
  5. Cover the jar loosely and store in a cool, dark place for 3-7 days to allow the flavors to infuse.
  6. After the infusion period, tighten the lid and store in the pantry or refrigerator. Strain out the garlic if desired, or eat the candied cloves.

Notes

Ensure all garlic is fully submerged in honey to prevent mold. Use only raw honey for maximum health benefits. Do not give to infants under 1 year old due to botulism risk. If honey crystallizes, warm the jar in a bowl of warm water to liquefy.
