Description
A creamy, sweet, and frothy iced espresso drink made with just five simple ingredients, perfect for a quick caffeine boost with a plant-based twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 shots espresso (about 2 ounces / 60ml)
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- ½ cup oat milk (120ml)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- ¼ cup cold water (60ml)
Instructions
- Pull two shots of espresso into your shaker or jar. If using strong brewed coffee, brew about ⅓ cup (80ml).
- Add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar and ¼ cup cold water to the espresso. Screw the lid on tight and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until frothy.
- Fill a tall glass with 1 cup of ice cubes.
- Pour the shaken espresso and sugar mixture over the ice.
- Pour ½ cup oat milk over the espresso. Stir gently to combine without overmixing.
- Enjoy immediately while cold and frothy.
Notes
Use barista-style oat milk for creamier texture and better froth. Shake vigorously to dissolve sugar and create froth. Adjust sweetness by adding more brown sugar or substitute with maple syrup or honey. Store leftover espresso mixture in fridge up to 2 days, but do not mix with oat milk before storing.
